Detergents – Cleaners
Detergents and cleaning products in addition to the REACH & CLP Regulations must also be in compliance with Regulation (EC) no. 648/2004 on detergents.
Regulation (EC) no. 648/2004 establishes specific requirements for detergent products and the ingredients contained in them.
Moreover, before placing a detergent or cleaning product on the EU market, you are obligated to generate a Unique Formula Identifier (UFI).
UFI is an alphanumeric code that needs to be printed on the label of all hazardous chemical products and should be accompanied by a notification to the Poison Centers – Poison Center Notification (PCN). This procedure is mandatory and is performed using on a dedicated European portal.
