ISO 22000:2018- Food safety

ISO 22000 is a standard that certifies the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) that a company has installed.
It is an internationally recognized standard that describes the procedures required to achieve safe food production.
ISO 22000 applies to companies that produce or trade food and animal feed or produce products that come into contact with food.
This standard examines the risk factors for public health that can affect food at all stages of its manufacture and suggests appropriate preventive control measures to deal with them.
This certification in some cases is mandatory but many companies choose to certify their System according to ISO 22000 as it gives added value to the product, ensures the coverage of legislative requirements and offers security to the consumer.
